John Liffrig came on to the Williston Boys' Baseball Committee in 1985 and soon will have been a member for 40 years. John has coached in our system and has been a longtime sponsor of the program. Probably most importantly, John has served as one of our Stadium Division Directors since 1988 and has overseen most of the improvements to Aafedt Stadium and the surrounding complexes. We calculated that John has put in over 10,000 hours of volunteer labor into these facilities, often being there early mornings and late at night. John is truly the catalyst as why Aafedt Stadium is considered one of the finest amateur facilities in the country today!
John has overseen over two million dollars of improvements to Aafedt Stadium since 2003 and continues in that same capacity today. His value to the Baseball Committee is unmatched. John was inducted into the North Dakota Babe Ruth Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016. The North field will be named in John’s honor.
